Mrs. Pamela W. Dopson, 63
Mrs. Pamela W. Dopson, 63, of Uvalda, died Dec. 6 at her residence after an extended illness, under the care of Regency Southerncare Hospice and surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Hazlehurst living most of her life in Uvalda, she graduated from Jeff Davis High School Class of 1977. She was a homemaker and loved watching westerns, soap operas, playing yahtzee, and spending time with her grandchildren. She especially loved laughing with family and friends. She was a former member of Uvalda Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilton Woods and Janice Williams Howell; and a brother, James Wilton Woods.
Her family includes her husband of 42 years, Talmadge Dean Dopson Jr. of Uvalda; daughter, Lesli Dopson Garrett and husband David of New Branch Community; grandchildren, Asa “Ace” Dean Garrett, Jocey Marie Garrett, and Charlotte Delanie Garrett all of New Branch Community; brother, Danny Woods and wife Pamela of Hazlehurst; brother-in-law, Jeffery Dopson and wife Stephanie of Uvalda; best friends, Rhonda Hysmith and Helen Sanders both of Uvalda; several, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service was held Dec. 13 in Uvalda City Cemetery.
