Mrs. Mary Ruth Foskey Beckner, 62

Mrs. Mary Ruth Foskey Beckner, 62, of Hazlehurst, passed away at her residence Sept. 26.
Mrs. Beckner was born May 6, 1960, in Jeff Davis County.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Ervin Frank Foskey and Annie Lee Horne Foskey, and siblings, Betty Taylor, Caroll Foskey, Walter Foskey/Sam, Brenda Sue Hewett, and Randell Foskey.
Mary enjoyed being a homemaker, she loved spending time with and taking care of her family. You were always welcome at Mary’s home because she was always a gracious hostess. She enjoyed working outside in her flower garden, and the evidence was seen every time you passed by her home.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Jack H. Beckner of Hazlehurst; son, Joseph Dwayne Carter of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Bailey Carter and Mason Carter; siblings, Mae Taylor Harper, Russell Foskey, Virginia Taylor, Ervin Foskey/Slim, and Marilyn Dover; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Oct. 3 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chuck Morgan officiating.
Interment followed in Liberty Community Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Logan Roddenberry, Whitney Roddenberry, Roy Roddenberry, Byron Taylor, Mike Taylor, and Randy Hand.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
