Mr. Jerry Alan Floyd, 51

Mr. Jerry Alan Floyd of Hazlehurst, 51, passed away Oct. 11 at Meadows Memorial Hospital in Vidalia.
Jerry was born Jan. 15, 1971, in Swainsboro to the late William Floyd Jr. and Sandra Nell Thorne Floyd.
Mr. Floyd served in the United States Army during Desert Storm as a special ops team member. He was a woodworker by trade who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His nieces and nephews were very special to him. He also enjoyed the companionship of his dog Stella.
Mr. Floyd is survived by his wife Amanda “Mandy” Floyd; mother Nell Floyd; brother-in-law Willis Conrad Jr. (Amber) of McRae, Bobby Conrad (Courtney) of Glenwood; sister-in-law Dedra Herrington of McRae; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Oct. 17 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Toole officiating. Interment followed in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Blake Bargeron, Aaron Ashley, Mike Aldridge, Donato Marquez, Jason Jent, and Hank Williams.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
