Mr. Grady Willard Simpson, 64

Mr. Grady Willard Simpson, 64, of Hazlehurst died Sept. 5 at his residence.
Mr. Simpson was born Sept. 7, 1957, in Toombs County and was a retired electrician. He was a devoted grandfather to his grandchildren. He loved catching white perch and watching his grandchildren play ball.
He is preceded in death by his parents Alton Hugh Simpson and Jackie Nell Stokes Simpson, grandparents, and aunts and uncles.
Surviving family include his daughters of Hazlehurst Heather (Jacob) Jackson and Desiree’ (RJay) Drawdy; and brothers, Danny Hugh Simpson and James Charlie “Chuck” (Deanna) Simpson, of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Chasity Jackson, Jace Drawdy, Katelyn Jackson and Drake Drawdy; several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services were held Sept. 11 from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Pastor Van McCall officiating.
Active pallbearers were Johnny Horton, Matt Simpson, Brent Simpson, Hayden Creech, Dustin Harris and Eddie Bush.
Interment was in Dead River Cemetery in Uvalda.
Swain Funeral Home was in charge.
