Mr. Charles Hubert Hubbard, 88

Mr. Charles Hubert Hubbard, 88, of Baxley, died Sept. 11 at his residence.
Mr. Hubbard was born Sept. 6, 1934, in Atlanta to the late Homer H. Hubbard and the late Frances Trawick Hubbard. He was a timber cruiser and owner of Hubbard Timber Company. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. Mr. Hubbard was preceded in death by a son, Charles Michael Hubbard, and brother, Frank Hubbard.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha Hubbard of Baxley; children, Amanda (Billy) Dean of Douglas and Trampis (Tonya) Carter of Baxley; brother-in-law, Isaac (Brenda) Moody of Hazlehurst; and sister-in-law, Betty Moody of Surrency; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Brown officiating.
Interment will follow in Appling Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Neil Hunter, Wade Moody, Tyler Kord Hunter, Jacob Dean, Jarrett Williams and Dillan Sharpe.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Revels, Dylan Revels, Allen Miles, Jimmy Miles, Sergio Diaz, Charles Strickland, Mickey Morris, Dr. Orlando Fernando, Comfort Care Hospice, and Beasley Timber Company.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Swain Funeral Home is in charge.
