Ms. Elizabeth (Beth) Rogers Faulk, 86
Ms. Elizabeth (Beth) Rogers Faulk, 86, of Hazlehurst died Aug. 21 at Jeff Davis Hospital.
Ms. Faulk was born Sept. 19, 1935, in Jeff Davis County.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer C. Rogers and Hazel Schell Rogers, husband, Robert Carlton Faulk, and sister, Teresa Brewer, with whom she is eternally reunited with.
She was a dedicated homemaker and member of Southside Baptist Church.
She had a very strong work ethic, in early years, she worked tirelessly on the farm, alongside of her husband, plus raising and taking care of her family. She loved her church family and always enjoyed singing with and participating in the ministry of the Jolly Friends.
She had a sweet, humble disposition and seemed to listen more than she talked.
She loved her sweet daughters and her extended family especially those grandchildren, and spending time with them.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Darylene Swain of Hazlehurst, Debbie and Jimmy Butler of Hazlehurst, Dianne and Mark Butler of Hazlehurst and Cathy Carter of Hazlehurst; brothers, Billy Rogers of Callahan, Fla., Eugene Rogers (Wanda) of Callahan Fla., and Denny Rogers (Mary Beth) of Byromville; grandchildren, Steven Swain (Jody), Susan Huff (Nathan), Matthew Carter and Joshua McNeal; great-grandchildren, Presley O’Neal (Eddie), Abby Swain, Gracie Vann, Gavin Vann, Maddie Carter and Mary Susan Huff; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Aug. 22 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeffery Spell officiating.
Interment followed in Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were all friends and family in attendance.
Active pallbearers were Steven Swain, Matthew Carter, Nathan Huff, Ronald Rogers, Andy Rogers and Wayne Herndon.
Music was rendered by The Jolly Friends.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
