Ms. Barbara Ann Chapman Ursrey, 85

Ms. Barbara Ann Chapman Ursrey, 85, of Hazlehurst, passed away June 21 at Meadows Hospital in Vidalia.
Ms. Ursrey was born May 21, 1937, in Ellaville. She resided in Hazlehurst for the past 50 years and is preceded in death by her husband, Guy Norman Ursrey and son, Richard Jeffrey Ursrey.
Mrs. Ursrey spent her career as an executive administrator.
She enjoyed interior design, gardening, dress making, antiques, and participating in church activities.
She was a dedicated member of First United Methodist Church in Hazlehurst, where she taught 3rd and 4th grade Sunday School for more than 30 years.
Survivors include her sons, Mike Ursrey of Hazlehurst and Todd (JoBeth) Ursrey of Douglas; a daughter, Tami Ursrey Snowden (John) of Rincon; sister-in-law, Gayle U. Wooten of St. Simons Island; nephews, Larry Chapman of Winder and Robert Chapman of Decatur; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held June 24 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Allen Hartsfield officiating. Interment followed in Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were all previous and present members of First United Methodist Church of Hazlehurst.
Active pallbearers were Larry Chapman, Robert Chapman, Dylan Ursrey, Bryan Snowden and Blake Snowden.
Music was rendered by Jimmy Maley and the congregation.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
