Ms. Alice Mae Bohannon Grantham, 80

Ms. Alice Mae Bohannon Grantham, age 80, of Hazlehurst, died June 26 at her residence.
Ms. Grantham was born Dec. 1, 1941, in Jeff Davis County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Grantham, parents, Losey Bohannon and Gladys Davis Bohannon, sisters, Adel Rigsby, Wanell Yarbrough, brothers, Losey Bohannon Jr., Dorsey Bohannon, and Donnie Bohannon.
She was the owner and operator of the Sun and Fun Shop and a member of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship. Ms. Alice loved her church, she was the last original member that started that church over 50 plus years ago and she faithfully served as clerk for all those years. She will be sadly missed by her church family.
She loved flowers, fishing, watching the Braves, cooking, spending time with her family, watching the Georgia Bulldogs.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Tammi and Dave Deats of Hazlehurst; sister, Holly Calhoun (Bruce) of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Megan Wood (Jeremy) of Hazlehurst and Jesse Deats; great-grandchildren, Rylie Beth, Charleigh and Asher; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held June 29 at 1 p.m. at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship with the Rev. Tyrone Hutchinson and the Rev. Roger Daniels officiating.
Interment followed in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were all past and present members of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship.
Active pallbearers were Brandon Huffaker, Mike Lewis, Tony New, Wesley McCumbers, Donnie McEachin and Cody Williams.
Songs were rendered by Reba Yawn, Donnie McEachin, Kristen Johnson and the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Choir.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
