Mr. Robert Martin Lay, 72

Mr. Robert Martin Lay, 72, of Hazlehurst passed away June 7 at his residence.
Mr. Lay was born Aug. 22, 1949, in Waycross.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Romon Lay and Elizabeth Martin Lay.
Mr. Lay worked with Georgia Power for many years in their warehouse.
He loved spending time with family, working and enjoyed buying and selling old cars and trucks. He also enjoyed riding four wheelers and his Ranger, and he enjoyed life to the fullest.
Survivors include his daughters, Tonya Lay of Hazlehurst, Shonda Lay of Hazlehurst, and Robin Lay Wilcox of Hazlehurst; brother Michael Lay (Karen) of Hazlehurst; sister, Gygnetha Swofford (Mark) of Colorado; grandchildren Chasity Wilcox, Hunter Wilcox and Taylor Wilcox all from Hazlehurst; great-grandchild, Gauge Mcnees of Hazlehurst.
A private family memorial were be held later.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home will be in charge.
