Mr. Joey Eugene Howard, 60

Mr. Joey Eugene Howard, 60, of Hazlehurst, died May 18 at Jeff Davis Hospital.
Mr. Howard was born July 10, 1961, in Jeff Davis County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Frank Howard and Lucille Mincey Howard, brothers, John Frank Howard Jr. and James Edward Howard (Toody). He was employed with Williams Brothers Trucking and attended New Desire Pentecostal Church. Joey was a fun loving fellow, never met a stranger and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his extended family, always smiling, laughing and having a great time. He was a hard worker but in his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his 4-wheeler.
Survivors include his sisters, Lucy Williams (Roger) of Hazlehurst and Dossie Howard of Hazlehurst; brother, Jerry Lynn Howard (Faye) of Dublin; extended family, the Rev. Charles and Tonya Ogletree, the Rev. Josh and Brittany Ogletree, and the Rev. Joseph and Angela Ogletree, Lawanda and Keith Lott, Heather, Josh Jr., Carmen, Amber, Joshalynn, Julia, Jonathan, Charlie Ogletree and Jayden Lott; andseveral nieces and nephews.
Services were held May 21 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Ogletree and the Rev. Josh Ogletree officiating.
Interment followed in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were all family and friends in attendance.
Active pallbearers were the Rev. Josh Ogletree Sr., Josh Ogletree Jr., Bradley Watson, Justin Newton, Collin Meeks, Matthew Hand, Hank Hand, and Thomas Guinn.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
