Mr. Jason Michael Smith, 45, of Lumber City, died May 9 at Memorial Health in Savannah.
Mr. Smith was born March 14, 1977, in Jeff Davis County.
He was boilermaker with Union Local #26 Statesboro and a dedicated member of Lumber City Baptist Church. He had a strong work ethic but in his spare time he enjoyed playing cards, pool, spending time with family and most of all he loved his daughter Jade and spending time with her.
Survivors include daughter, Jade Smith (Nicholas Coleman) of Lumber City; mother, Cynthia Powell Harrell of Lumber City; father, Glynn Smith of Mt. Vernon; brothers, Brenton Smith and Spencer Smith both of Mt Vernon; sister, Angel Smith of Lumber City; soon to arrive granddaughter, Miss. Tinsley Coleman; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held May 16 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with his daughter Jade giving a eulogy and the Rev. Glenn Stinson and the Rev. Brian Brazzell officiating.
Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Spencer Smith, Brenton Smith, Lance Smith, Daniel Smith, Shaun Smith and Billy Lytle.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
