Mr. James ‘Rat’ Troupe

Mr. James Troupe, also called “Rat,” was born to the late Bessie Troupe in Newark, N.J. He was called home to be with the Lord July 20.
James graduated from Wheeler County High School in 1977. He worked for over 20 years at the Hazlehurst Sawmill.
James was friendly and had a passion for collecting “stuff.” He loved riding motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends. He had a beloved dog name Zoe.
James is survived by his brother, William Troupe; sister in-law, Carolyn Troupe; nieces, Mechelle Troupe-Roberson and Stephanie Troupe; nephews, Darren Troupe and Tony Troupe; Niece-in-law, Chandra; and tons of great nieces and nephews.
His funeral was held July 23 at King Brothers Funeral Home, Hazlehurst. Interment was private.
