Mrs. Janette Lariscey Johnson, 75
Mrs. Janette Lariscey Johnson, 75, of Hazlehurst, died April 23 at her residence.
Mrs. Johnson was born March 10, 1947, in Augusta. She has resided in Jeff Davis County for 51 years after coming from Baxley. She is preceded in death by her parents, Madison Frank Lariscey and Gladys Burton Lariscey, brothers, Darryl Lariscey and Wayne Lariscey.
She was a homemaker, hairdresser, retired from Care One as a Certified Nursing Assistant and of the Pentecostal Faith.
She lived life to the fullest, enjoyed talking on the telephone and spending time at granddaughters’ business, known as Designs by Janie. She loved her family, spending time with and taking care of them. She loved people and everybody that knew her loved her, she will be sadly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Lee Johnson of Hazlehurst; sons, Bobby Gene Johnson (Mary) of Martin; daughter, Tammy Lanette Johnson of Hazlehurst; brothers, Frank Lariscey (Phyllis), Bobby Lariscey (Vicky), Roy Lariscey (Toby), Freddy Lariscey; granddaughters, Janie Lee McLendon (Kyle), Jana Mikal Williams (Neil Carter), Brystal Johnson and Raelynn Johnson; great-grandchildren, Bentley Kyle McLendon, Brody Kade McLendon, Colton Neil Carter and Caleb Nelson Carter; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held April 26 at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Jinker Horton and the Rev. Jeremy Deloach officiating.
Interment followed in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Community Hospice of Vidalia, friends and family.
Active pallbearers were Freddy Stone, Danny Ross, Dallas Soloman, Eddie McEachin, Chris Stone, and David Medders.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
