Mr. Sammie Carson, 62

Mr. Sammie Carson, 62, of Moultrie, who resided in Hazlehurst, passed away March 25 at his residence.
Mr. Carson was born Aug. 14, 1959, in Sumter County to the late Ella Bell and Roy Lee. He was a welder, an active church member, loving husband, devoted father and proud grandfather. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Davis (Kate) of Atlanta.
Survivors include his wife, Andrea Carson of Hazlehurst; daughters, Kashira Carson of Atlanta, Michaela Morris of Valdosta and Victoria Carson of Hazlehurst; sons, Jaliyah Carson of Atlanta and Jaden Carson of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Madison and Jaliyah Carson II; brothers, David Lee Davis (Patricia) of Americus, Willie Jesse Carson (Sarah) of Americus and Johnnie Carson (Tuiana) of Jacksonville, N.C.; sisters Patricia Clay (Hyrum) of Sylvester, Janet Breland of Hahira, Valerie Hall (Walter) of Moultrie, and Brenda Carson of Lake Park; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services were held March 31 at Hazlehurst Church of Christ with Minister Bobby Lairsey presiding. Internment was at Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.
