Ms. Virginia Jo Clance Hand, 78

Ms. Virginia Jo Clance Hand, 78, of Hazlehurst, passed away Feb. 13 at Hazlehurst Court Care in Hazlehurst.
Ms. Hand was born July 17, 1943, in Jeff Davis County.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Otis Arthur Clance and Mary Newham Clance, husband, the Rev. James Edison Hand, sisters, Rita Mae Rentz Lowe and Mavis Clance Herndon. Ms. Hand was a minister and a member of Snipesville Full Gospel/New Hope Ministries. She had a special love for her animals and flowers and will be sadly missed by all that knew her and loved her.
Survivors include her sister, Myrtle Frazier of Hazlehurst; brother-in-law, the Rev. Prentice Herndon of Denton; nieces, Wendy and Thomas Colter of Denton, Tammy and Terry Davis of Denton; nephews, Randy Rowell of Hazlehurst and Ricky Rowell of Valdosta; several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Feb. 16 at Hazlehurst City Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Rowell officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were staff members of Hazlehurst Court Care and Southern Care Hospice.
Music was rendered by Heather Davis, Joel Davis, Olivia Davis, Isabella Davis and Terry Davis.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
