Mr. Wesley Dean Morrison, 91, of Hazlehurst, died Jan. 13 at his residence.
Mr. Morrison was born March 30, 1930, in Hagan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Columbus Alexander Morrison and Bessie Andrews Morrison, wife, Margaret Virginia Poole Morrison, son, Jimmy Henry Mercer, grandson, Craig Morrison, brothers, Dwight Morrison, Wilbur Morrison, C.A. Morrison and Comer Morrison. He was a veteran of United States Army, retired from Hazlehurst Mills and a member of Hazlehurst United Methodist Church. Mr. Morrison loved fishing, hunting, playing basketball, camping and spending time with his family and especially the great-grandbabies.
Survivors include his son, Danny Wesley Morrison (Lynette) of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Chad (Chelsey) Morrison, Chris (Nikki) Morrison, Brittany (Coty) Dees; great-grandbabies, Lincoln Dees, Kimber Morrison, Brooke Morrison, Jacie Morrison and Avery Morrison; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Jan. 17 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Barlow officiating.
Interment followed in Glenwood City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Chad Morrison, Chris Morrison, Brent White, Ben Glosson, Clay White and Rusty White.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
