Mr. Stephen Wayne Turner, 75

Mr. Stephen Wayne Turner, 75, passed away Feb. 4 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.
Born Jan. 22, 1947, in Hazlehurst, to Edd T. and Gladys Marie Douglas Turner, Wayne was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Army. He was a truck driver for many years before becoming the owner and operator of W.W. Construction Company. A proud member of the NRA and American Legion, he loved fishing and woodworking. Wayne’s whole world revolved around his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Frances Cooper Turner; his parents; and a daughter, Dinah Marie Wilson.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela Turner Clayborn (Benny); grandchildren, Devin Crews, Austin Clayborn (Bree), Rebecca Wilson (Blade), and Alyssa Blair; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Leon, Braxton, and Madilyn.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 11 a.m., Feb. 11 at Chapel Park Cemetery with the Rev. Patrick Owens officiating.
