Mr. Kevin Lamar Selph, 41
Mr. Kevin Lamar Selph, 41, of Hazlehurst, died Jan. 9 at Piedmont Healthcare Hospital in Athens.
Mr. Selph was born April 9, 1980, in Coffee County and is preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Griffin Selph.
He was employed with South Georgia Cotton Gin, and was of the Pentecostal Faith. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything that was outdoors, and because of this, his family referred to him as, Mr. Outdoorsman. He loved his family dearly, loved spending time with them and will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
Survivors include sons, Cole Baucom of Hazlehurst and Kamden Selph of Athens; daughter, Marley Brianna Selph (A.J. Mullenix) of Athens; father, Jimmy Lee Selph of Hazlehurst; brothers, Leander Selph of Helena and Heath (Allison) Selph of Jacksonville, Fla.; special friend, Kevin Sellers of Hazlehurst; grandson, Jack James Mullenix of Athens; cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services were held Jan. 12 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Hal Jeffcoat officiating. Interment followed in Liberty Community Church Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were Chuck Cartledge, Gary Evans, Jim Girtman, Randall Powell, and all employees of South Georgia Cotton Gin.
Active pallbearers were John Girtman, Nate Yawn, Kevin Sellers, Chet Edwards, Max Colson and Pilo.
