Mrs. Marlene Smith Strickland, 75

Ms. Marlene Smith Strickland, 75, of Hazlehurst died Dec. 10 at Jeff Davis Hospital.
Ms. Strickland was born Sept. 22, 1946, in Coffee County. She is preceded in death by her father, Odis Carroll Smith.
She was retired from Amoco Fabrics and attended Bell Street Church of God. Ms. Strickland’s hobbies were watching TV, she enjoyed shopping, loved animals and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her mother, Marjorie Mullis Smith of Hazlehurst; sister and brother-in-law, Carlene Smith Gauler and Edward of Hazlehurst; brothers and sisters-in-law, Odis Buddy and Brenda Smith of Hazlehurst and Jack Carroll and Kathy Smith of Hazlehurst; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Dec. 17 at 11 a.m. in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
