Dwight was an avid fisherman and loved being out on the water. When he was not fishing, he spent many hours growing beautiful gardens and loved to share his harvest. He was a dedicated fan of his UGA Bulldogs. Many Saturdays were spent with family and friends cheering them on to victory. He was particularly fond of beautiful sunsets capturing many of them in pictures. Dwight loved many things but above all he loved the time he spent with family and friends and watching his grandchildren grow.
Survivors include his son Denny Carter and wife Dana of Brunswick; grandchildren, Hayes, Hudson, and Camille; beloved soulmate, Jane Spence of Brunswick and her family; brothers, Farren Carter and Ken Carter both of Hazlehurst, and Todd Carter and wife Denise of Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Nov. 11 from 10-11 a.m. at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. www.edomillerandsons.com
