Mr. Ryan Kent Harper, 56

Mr. Ryan Kent Harper, 56, of Hazlehurst, died of natural causes at his residence Oct. 19.
Mr. Harper was born March 27, 1965, in Jeff Davis County.
He is preceded in death by his father, Elzie Harper, sister, Gayla Harper and brother, Keith Harper. He was a perfectionist and lived his life to the fullest. He loved fishing and gardening, but his heart was in woodworking. He attended Elizabeth Baptist Church and Hillcrest Baptist Church. He will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Cherie Miles Harper of Hazlehurst; son, Keith Harper of Hazlehurst; step-son, Dawson Carey of Hazlehurst; mother, Nell Harper of Hazlehurst; and nephew, Weston Horton of Hazlehurst.
Graveside services were held Oct. 21 in Denton Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Yawn and the Rev. Thomas Colter officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were all friends and family in attendance.
Active pallbearers were Ben Harris, Kevin Ellis, Leland Adams, Dawson Carey, Karson Wildes, Buddy Creech and Chuck Simpson.
