Graveside services for Mrs. Brenda Louise Clements, 61, who died Sept. 16, were held Sept 25 at Helena Cemetery, McRae-Helena, with the Rev. David Johnekins presiding.
Mrs. Clements was born Aug. 14, 1960, in Miami, Fla., to the late Theodore and Elouise Harvey McDuffie. The family moved to Alamo where Brenda was a member of Spaulding Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she sang with the family group, “The Harvey Brothers.” She was educated in Wheeler County. Other memberships included prayer lines, Eastern Star, and NAACP. Her employment included the Telfair County Board of Education, at the alternative school. She loved her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years William Flozell Clements; children Dalondra Clements, Warner Robins, William (Layne) Clements Jr., Raleigh, N.C., Kayla (Willie) King, Pembroke; grandchildren Deterius Keelan Clements, Kory Jerrod Johnson, Amelia Kaylee King; great-grand Brookyln Madisyn Clements; siblings Ted McDuffie, Terry (Tammy) McDuffie, Mary-Alice, Eddie (Babsie) McDuffie; special aunt Marion Johnekins; three aunts and one uncle; many nieces, nephews, special niece and nephew Sierra and Herman Dallas, in-laws, cousins, friends and god daughter Sherry Harris
Active pallbearers were Jay Turner, Mason Clements, John Fedrick Jr., Corey Harvey, Reginald Harvey, Charles Washington Jr., Keith Harvey and Leonard Wilcox Jr.
Honorary pallbearers were Kerry Harvey, Kendrick Hobbs, Louishe Johnekins Jr., Carlton Hobbs Jr., Jimmy Johnekins, Terrell Clay and Sam Zanders.
Flower bearers were, Christian Pilgrims, NAACP and Classmates.
