Ms. Bobbie Jean Edge, 74

Ms. Bobbie Jean Edge, 74, of Hazlehurst, died Aug. 12 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.
Ms. Edge was born Jan. 22, 1947, in Montgomery County.
She is preceded in death by her parents Syders O’Conner and Ethel Davis O’Conner, daughter, Teresa Ann Coleman, brother, Ray O’Conner, sister, Eliose Carter, grandchildren, John Wesley Edge and Rick Bryant. She was retired from Papa’s Cabin and was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Appling County. She will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Mike Merritt of Hazlehurst; son, Curtis Wesley Edge of Hazlehurst; sisters, Wanda (Greg) Yawn, Pamela Eubanks, Janice O’Conner and Eleanor Campbell all of Hazlehurst; brother, Michael O’Conner; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services were held Aug. 16 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. James Jordan, the Rev. David Harrell and the Rev. Daniel R. Gasser officiating. Interment followed at Cooper Cemetery in Montgomery County.
