Middle school breezes in first games

Jeff Davis Middle School’s softball team opened the season with three road games and had no trouble winning all three. Last Monday they rolled to a 22-0, 3-inning win over Dublin Middle School, Tuesday they cruised to a 21-0, 3-inning win over Vidalia and Thursday they defeated Dodge County 13-3 in five innings.
In Dublin, Jeff Davis got only six hits, all singles, as Dublin pitching gave up 10 walks and hit four batters in just three innings.
Ryleigh King had two singles and two RBI, Mattie Walsh had two singles and an RBI, Alara McCall had a single and two RBI, Cori Mims had a single and an RBI, Jazmine Villasenor and Jacqueline Villasenor both had three RBI, and Alera Vann, Claire Stinson, Brylee Wyatt, Payten Warnock, Riley Hughes and MaKinzee Ashmore each had an RBI.
Jaqueline Villasenor was the winning pitcher, she gave up two hits, walked none and got seven of the nine outs by strikeout.
Against Vidalia, McCall had the hot bat with two singles, a double, a triple and three RBI. Stinson had two singles, a double and two RBI, Mims had a single a triple and an RBI, Vann had a pair of singles and an RBI, Walsh doubled, Jazmine Villasenor had a single and two RBI, and Emma McEachin had an RBI.
Jacqueline Villasenor took the win on the mound. She gave up three hits, walked two and struck out four.
In Eastman, McCall had a pair of doubles, a triple and two RBI, Mims had a pair of doubles and two RBI, Stinson had two singles and two RBI, Vann had a single and an RBI, Jaqueline Villasenor doubled, and Jazmine Villasenor, Warnock and McEachin all singled.
Jacqueline Villasenor won on the mound. She gave up three runs on three hits, walked three, hit one, and struck out eight.
