Swimmer bring home 11 state titles

The Jeff Davis swim team brought home 11 state championships from the state swim meet in Catoosa County July 17-18.
After having 12 swimmers qualify to compete at the meet, Jeff Davis County was well represented with several swimmers competing for the first time.
Following are the results:
Girls 8 and under: Camryn Helton, 7th, 25 backstroke.
Girls 12 and under: Lila Walters, 3rd 50 breaststroke, 5th 50 freestyle, 6th 100 freestyle; Summer Anderson, 3rd 50 butterfly, 5th 50 breaststroke.
Girls 18 and under: Cassie Bryant 1st 50 breaststroke, 3rd 100 freestyle, 6th 50 freestyle; Madison Norris, 6th 50 butterfly, 6th 50 freestyle, 6th 100 freestyle, 7th 100 IM.
Boys 8 and under: Jay Wilkinson, 1st 25 freestyle, 1st 25 breaststroke, 1st 25 backstroke.
Boys 12 and under: Cye Atkinson, 4th 25 freestyle; Jeremiah Davis, 1st 100 IM, 2nd 50 butterfly, 3rd 50 freestyle; Jeb Wilkinson, 4th 50 breaststroke, 4th 50 backstroke.
Boys 15 and under: Brady Carter, 1st 100 freestyle, 1st 50 freestyle, 1st 50 backstroke; William Garrett, 1st 50 butterfly, 2nd 100 freestyle, 2nd 50 freestyle; Haydon King, 4th 50 breaststroke, 5th 100 freestyle.
Boys 13-14 200 medley relay, 1st, Brady Carter, Haydon King, William Garrett, Jeremiah Davis.
Mixed 15-18 200 freestyle relay, 1st, William Garrett, Madison Norris, Cassie Bryant, Brady Carter.
Thanks to the Jeff Davis Recreation Department coaches, swimmers, timers, fans and anyone else affiliated with the swim team for making 2021 yet another successful season.
