Ms. Judy Bohannon, 73

Ms. Judy Bohannon, 73, of Hazlehurst, died July 1 at Hazlehurst Court Care under the care of Community Hospice.
Ms. Bohannon was born Oct. 16, 1947, in Jeff Davis County. She is preceded in death by her parents Weldon Bohannon, Eunice Foskey Bohannon, sister, Betty Turner and brother, Roy Bohannon. She was formerly employed with Amercord and a member of Oakland Baptist Church.
She loved taking care of and cooking for her family, everyone that came to her house had to eat with her. She loved going to church and she will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
Survivors include her son, Jason Bohannon of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Austin Bohannon and Ava Bohannon; great-grandchild, Blaine Austin Bohannon to arrive in September; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held July 7 at 2 p.m.at Oakland Baptist Church with the Rev. Royce Hulett and the Rev. Keith Yawn officiating.
Interment was in Liberty Community Church Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Hazlehurst Court Care and Community Hospice.
Active pallbearers were George Beecher, Kyle Beecher, Kelvin Bohannon, Deric Bohannon, Craig Rowell and Scotty Orvin.
