Mrs. Valerie Ann Drumm, 53

Mrs. Valerie Ann Drumm, born July 16, 1967, age 53, bravely battled cancer and passed on June 22 in Vidalia.
She was loved by her family, her community, her church and all who knew her. She always had a smile on her face even if she was not feeling well. She was selfless in her actions and always made sure to express her care and concern for others. She was fortunate in her life to have done many things she loved, some of her favorite things were spending time with family, hiking, biking, antiquing, running and camping with her husband, friends and family.
She was beloved wife of Jason Drumm; loving mother of Desiree (Bird) Lester, Joshua Drumm and Kaela (Dylan) Riner; special Mimi to Daniella, Emily and Dylan Lester and Lake Riner; dear sister to Angela Curtis, Laura (A.J.) Kovacik and Jon (Shasta) Curtis; and eldest daughter to Lee Curtis and preceded in death by mother Carolyn Curtis. Also, cherished in-laws, Peggy Drumm and Edward Drumm.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Visitation and memorial services will be held July 3 at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. and service will follow at 3 with the Rev. Brian Brazzell officiating.
