Mr. Wayne Shumans, 73

Mr. Wayne Shumans, 73, of Hazlehurst, died June 18 at Jeff Davis Hospital.
Mr. Shumans was born March 12, 1948, in Jeff Davis County. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewitt Shumans and Maggie Bryant Shumans, daughter, Cheryl Lynette Rowell and sister, Elaine Stone.
He was a retired salesman with Shumans Electric of Baxley and was a member of Liberty Community Church. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the sport every chance he got. He will be sadly missed by his family and all that knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Wise Shumans of Hazlehurst; son, Johnathan W. Shumans of Hazlehurst; daughters, Paula Renee Quinonez of Hazlehurst and Katelyn Carol Hilburn (Ryan) of Fayetteville, N.C.; sister, Diane Dyal (Glenn) of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Justin Wooten, Dusty Wooten, Billy Wooten, Nichole Music, Kaycie Rowell and Joshua Rowell; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held June 21 at Liberty Community Church with the Rev.Virginia Herrington officiating.
