Five Named Al-Region

Five Jeff Davis High baseball players were named to the Georgia Dugout Club’s All-Region Baseball Team for the 2021 season.
Senior pitchers Cole Baucom and Matthew White and sophomore left fielder Ethan Griffin were named to the First Team and junior pitcher Cam Williams and junior outfield Trenton Clance were named to the Second Team.
Vidalia and Toombs County, which finished first and fourth in the region, dominated the All-Region team with eight and seven honorees respectively. Third place Bacon County had five selections, and East and Swainsboro had one each.
Vidalia’s Landry Mead was chosen Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year was Caden Spivey of Vidalia. The Coaching Staff of the Year was from Vidalia.
