Mrs. Nora Margaret Spivey Hughes Lewis, 81

Mrs. Nora Margaret Spivey Hughes Lewis, 81, of Hazlehurst, died March 26 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.
Mrs. Lewis was born Dec. 15, 1939, in Jeff Davis County. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willard Valdice Hughes, Joel W. Spivey and Cora Turner Spivey, brothers and sisters, Joel Wendell Spivey, Velma Spivey Bardwell, Maxine Spivey Lambert, Cletice Spivey Cumbee. She was formerly employed with Bowens Drug.
Survivors include sons, Layton Hughes (Judy) of Hazlehurst, Donald Hughes of Wrightsville, Denny Hughes of Hazlehurst and Jeffrey Bryant of Hazlehurst; daughter, Deborah Hughes Lee of Altoon, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held March 31 at 11 at Palms Memorial Garden with the Rev. Deek Dubberly officiating.
Active pallbearers were David Cumbee, Doug Murphy, Ted Hamm and Adam William.
