Mrs. Edna Ann Newham Johnson, 83

Mrs. Edna Ann Newham Johnson, 83, of Hazlehurst, died March 19 at her residence.
Mrs. Johnson was born Jan. 3, 1938, in Jeff Davis County. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Newham and Ocie McEachin Newham, father of her children, Earl Johnson, husband, Richard Taylor and sisters, Kathryn Waters and Jo White. She was a retired seamstress with Stardust and a member of Graham Baptist Church. Mrs. Johnson will be sadly missed by all that loved her and knew her.
Survivors include her daughters, Betty Harper of Augusta, Laura Rae of Hazlehurst, Sonya Gibson of Hazlehurst and Janie Johnson of Hazlehurst; son, Bruce Johnson of Hazlehurst;
brother, Walter Newham (Pearl) of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Jason Harper, Johnathon Harper, Heather Collins, Jack Harper, Sabrina Richardson, Stephanie Thornton, Brandi Johnson, Lana Owings, Chris Carter, Levi Carter, Matthew Carter, Bryan Johnson and Justin Williams; several great and great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held March 22 at Hazlehurst City Cemetery with the Rev. Tyrone Hutchinson and the Rev. Bryan Brazzell officiating.
All family and friends in attendance were honorary pallbearers.
