Leaders work on comprehensive plan

Local leaders met Tuesday morning at the Hazlehurst Civic Center with representatives of the Altamaha Georgia Southern Regional Commission to begin the months-long process of developing a new five-year comprehensive plan for Jeff Davis County, Hazlehurst and Denton. The previous plan, completed in 2016, expires this year and the new plan will be used as a model for the county and municipalities to manage growth over the next five years. Public involvement will be sought during the process.
