Who will be the biggest loser

Get ready for the Biggest Loser Contest for Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis sponsored by Jeff Davis Hospital and the Chamber of Commerce. The contest will run March 1-June 1. Winners in the adult category will receive $500 (1st place), $200 (2nd), and $150 (3rd). Winners in the youth category will receive $150 (1st), $100 (2nd) and $50 (3rd).
Registration will be March 1 from 5-7 p.m. at The Big House. The cost is $20 per adult and $10 per youth and payment is due at time of registration. The program will include body weight and circumference measurements (waist, hips and thighs). It is best to wear the same clothes pre and post for accurate measurements.
The first weigh-in/measurements will be at registration. The final weigh-in/measurements will be on June 1 from 5-7 p.m. at The Big House. Late registration will only be allowed through March 8 and the fee $25 per person.
Participants must weigh/measure both at first weigh-in and final weigh-in to qualify for the final prize. Weigh-ins and healthy lifestyle programs will occur each Monday between March 1 and June 1 at The Big House from 6-7 p.m. Participants can also weigh in at Xtreme Fitness anytime during the challenge except for the first and final weigh-in.
Participants must attend at least three Monday night sessions to be eligible for the prize. Weight loss will be based on percentage of weight lost. We will award the person with the highest percentage of weight loss.
Follow the nutrition and exercise program of your choice but consult with your physician before beginning a weight loss program. We encourage you to make small changes for long lasting results. We discourage the use of fad diets, excessive exercise or use of the sauna. Remember, the faster you lose it, the faster you find it!
A Facebook group for the participants will be available to keep you motivated.
Businesses can sponsor the Biggest Loser Contest for only $25. Sponsors will receive recognition on social media as a sponsor, recognition on tables at a Monday night session, the ability to address participants at a Monday night session and the ability to offer giveaways and brochures about your business at a Monday night session.
