Mrs. Marilyn Ray, 80

Mrs. Marilyn Ray, 80, passed away Feb. 22 at Cotton Grove Estates Nursing Home in Jesup.
Mrs. Ray was born July 11, 1940, in Denton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Lee Ray and Joanna “Josie” Curry Ray and her siblings, Silas Ray, Lona Ray, Alfred Ray, Oliver “Poly” Ray, Eddie Eugene Ray, Clarence A. Ray, Catherine Ray Hester and Beatrice Ray Miller. She was retired from Ocmulgee Tractor Company as a bookkeeper and was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Feb. 25 at Union Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Deek Dubberly and the Rev. Jeffery Spell officiating.
Pallbearers were E.H Claxton, Fred Earl Rowell, David Clark, Wayne Kirkland, Darrien Steverson, Blake Claxton, Craig Rowell, Belinda Sellers, Christy Clark, Ray Hester and Chace McLendon.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions, in memory of Marilyn, be made to Cotton Grove Estate Nursing Home, 249 Joe Naia Road, Jesup, Georgia 31545.
