Mrs. Charlene Juanee Rentz, 79

Mrs. Charlene Juanee Rentz, 79, passed away Feb. 20 following an extended illness.
Mrs. Rentz was born Sept. 21, 1941, in Hazlehurs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Rentz, her parents, Fred Hutchinson and Eva Lucille Wilcox Hutchinson, a sister, Rudeen Allen and a brother, Cosby Herrington. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She was a pianist since the early 70s and worked as a bookkeeper for many years for Cothern-Varnadore and Woody Folsom Chevrolet. She was very dedicated to her profession and was well respected by her peers. She was always willing to help those in need and push others to achieve more.
She is survived by her sons Randy and Carmen Rentz of Hazlehurst, Van and Kim Rentz of Springfield, Tenn.; daughter, Marla and Willie Turner of Jacksonville, Fla.; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Gwen and Thomas Kirkland, Theresa Elkins; brothers, Tyrone and Karen Hutchinson, Stanley and Marci Hutchinson, Keith and Patti Hutchinson.
Gravesides services were held Feb. 23 at Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery, Baxley, with her nephew Eric Rentz officiating.
Active pallbearers were Randy Rentz, Daniel Rentz, Greg Walker, Ripken Walker, Stan Rentz, Jesse Rentz and Willie Turner.
Music was rendered by saxophonist Fred Hand.
