Ms. Barbara Hawkins Sikes, 67

Ms. Barbara Hawkins Sikes, 67, of Hazlehurst, died Feb. 5 at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Sikes was born Oct. 23, 1953, in Evans County but lived most of her life in Jeff Davis. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Roscoe Hawkins and Dollie Turner Hawkins, sister, Mary Helen Gay. She loved her family, especially her grands and great-grands, she really enjoyed going to the Senior Citizen Center and seeing everyone there.  Barbara was loved and will be sadly missed by all that knew her. She was retired from Altamaha Home Health Care and was a member of Hazlehurst Church of God.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Tommy Hattaway of Hazlehurst; son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Amy Hughes of Hazlehurst; brothers, Charles Hawkins (Vera) of Florida and Billy Hawkins (Bonnie) of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Jake Hughes (Kai), Colby Hughes (Drew), Gavin Hughes (Taylor), Ashely Hattaway Miles (Brett), and Thomas Hattaway (Coey) all of Hazlehurst; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Feb. 8 at Satilla Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Dewain Joiner and the Rev. John Nunes officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were all friends and family in attendance.
Active pallbearers were Jake Hughes, Brett Miles, Colby Hughes, Zack Corbin, Trevor Cabaniss and Thomas Reagin.
