In 1985, he began teaching at Jeff Davis High School where he taught predominately Government and Economics and coached football and tennis. Calvin retired from Jeff Davis County High School after 27 1/2 years.
Calvin is survived by his wife, Debbie, and their three sons, Cole and his wife, Gena; Vince and his wife, Danielle, and Garrett and his wife, Lee Ann. He was blessed with nine grandchildren: Adrianna, Presley, Jude, McLean, Sadie Katherine, Calier, Caleb, Elsie Lee, and Lane. Calvin is also survived by two sisters, Beth Harrison Hand and her husband Johnny, and Patricia Harrison Rappold, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Calvin is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Claude Harrison Sr. and Laree McLean Harrison; his sisters, Ann Harrison Pearson and Faith Harrison Smiley; and his brother, Charlie Claude Harrison Jr.
