Mrs. Sue Taylor Welch, 80
Mrs. Sue Taylor Lowery Welch, 80 of Georgia Highway 184, Toccoa, passed away Jan. 10 at Stephens County Hospital.
A daughter of the late Clinton and Grace Taylor, she was born May 15, 1940, in Bacon County having lived most of her life in Hazlehurst and the last 13 years in Toccoa. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant for a number of years. She was a member of Tates Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Vasco A. Lowery Jr. and by her second husband, Jack Welch.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Vasco and Beth Lowery of Toccoa; grandchildren, Rachel and Tripp Arrowood, Thomas Lowery and Joanna Lowery; great-grandson, Tom Arrowood; brother Ronnie Taylor of Hyattsville, Md.; sisters, Lisa Golden of Jacksonville, Fla., and Tina Williams of Baxley; a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 14 at Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City with the Rev. Merle Webster officiating.
