Chamber Seeking Nominees

The Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County Chamber of Commerce is asking for nominations to recognize individuals and businesses that strive to create an economically prosperous Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County by nominating an eligible small business, industry, citizen, farmer or entrepreneur. The Lifetime Achievement Award is also presented.
The Small Business of the Year award is reserved for a business with less than 50 employees. The award celebrates the contribution to retain and grow business and jobs and may also include innovative approaches to business operations made in the year 2020. Award nominee must be a Chamber member.
The Industry of the Year award celebrates the contribution of the industry to retain and grow jobs. The award may also consider capital investment, direct or indirect job growth and innovative approaches to business operations made in the year 2020. Award nominee must be a Chamber member.
The Entrepreneur of the Year award celebrates the potential entrepreneur as a valued member and leader of the community. The Award honors the individual who strives toward the highest levels of personal or professional accomplishments that benefit the well-being of Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County. Award nominee must be a Chamber member.
The Citizen of the Year award celebrates the individual who has significantly contributed to the welfare and advancement of the citizens of Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County beyond the scope of his or her normal occupation in the year 2020. The award honors an individual who currently resides or has resided at one time in the Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County area.
The Farmer of the Year award celebrates the farmer who has significantly contributed to the agriculture industry in Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County. The award is sponsored by the Jeff Davis Farm Bureau.
The Lifetime Achievement Award honors an individual who has significantly contributed to the Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis community throughout their life.
Award nominations should be returned to the Chamber office at 25 East Coffee Street or by email to Andrea Taylor at ataylor@jeffdavisjda.com by Jan. 25. Award winners will be announced at the Chamber Annual Event March 20. Tickets for the event will be available soon.
