Mr. Harold Norman “Hal” Faulk Jr., 63, passed away Dec. 31 at his residence following a brief illness.
Mr. Faulk was born Jan. 16, 1957, in Hazlehurst. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Norman Faulk Sr. and grandparents, Norman Wesley “Buddy” Faulk, Alice Pauline Creech Faulk, John Earnest Kight and Donnie Clifton Kight. He was a member of Union Springs Baptist Church and was a lifelong farmer. Hal was known to be a true friend to all those around him and was always willing to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Faulk, mother, Betty Kight Faulk, grandchildren, Madison Jones, Jase Jones, Rhett Pickren and Anderson Floyd,sister, Tammy Faulk Stapleton all of Hazlehurst; brother, Johnny Faulk (Teresa) of Denton; significant other, Carla Griffin of Denton; former step-son, Kameron Floyd of Denton; nephews, John Faulk, Justin Jowers, Cody Jowers and Gary Stapleton; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Skeeter Davis Faulk.
Services were held Jan. 4 at Union Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Merle Webster and the Rev. David Miller officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Faulk, Justin Jowers, Cody Jowers, Gary Stapleton, Joe Colson and Kendall Jones.
The family asked that everyone who has been impacted by Hal’s life to serve as honorary pallbearers
