Mrs. Joyce Disharoon Carter, 61

Mrs. Joyce Disharoon Carter, 61, of Hazlehurst, died Dec. 26 at her residence.
Mrs. Carter was born Sept. 18, 1959, in Jeff Davis County. She is preceded in death by her father, James Disharoon and mother, Lillie Rea Disharoon. She was formerly a real estate agent and a member of Union Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Carter of Hazlehurst; daughters, Jennifer Graham (Stephen Dukes) of Hazlehurst, Mariah Carter Herndon (Ryan) of Hazlehurst and Michala Carter of Hazlehurst; son, Johnathon Graham (Carly) of Hazlehurst; sister, Judy Anderson (Willie) of Snipesville; grandchildren, Kylee Hosmer, Gavin Coleman, Kaelyn Creamer, Tatym Leggett, Maggie Graham, Evelyn Graham and Zayden Herndon; nephew, Ashley Anderson (Amber).
Graveside services were held Dec. 29 at Union Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Deek Dubberly officiating.
