Perdue Visits Hazlehurst

Hazlehurst briefly took center stage in national politics Saturday when Senator David Perdue made a campaign stop here. His guests included U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue, State Senators Blake Tillery and Tyler Harper, and State Representative Dominic LaRiccia. Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and the Jeff Davis County Republican Party, the event drew a vocal crowd of supporters. Following a few short campaign speeches, spectators were invited to sign the side of the touring bus the group arrived in.
