Mrs. Leona Miller Burnsed, 68

Mrs. Leona Miller Burnsed, 68 of Douglas, passed away Dec. 8 at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital in Savannah following an extended illness.
Mrs. Burnsed was born March 26, 1952, to the late Farice Franklin Miller and the late Vera Cain Miller. A native of Jeff Davis County, she served as a dedicated member of the ministry of WULS Radio 103.7 FM solid gospel since its beginnings alongside her husband Wyndel Burnsed, to whom she was married for 51 years. As Executive Vice President of WULS Radio, she served local and national ministries across the USA such as Joyce Meyer Ministries, John Hagee Ministries, Kenneth Hagin Ministries and many others. She was a gift and blessing to all those who truly knew her. She was a person of truth and integrity as well as a wonderful and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother and so much more, whose family and friends alike look forward to seeing again, as we declare: Blessed is He Who comes in the Name of the Lord, Come, Lord Jesus Come!
She was preceded in death by her parents: Farice Franklin (F.F.) Miller and Vera Cain Miller; siblings, brother, Farice Franklin Miller Jr., sister, Nellie M. Nobles, brother, Frank Miller and sister, Alice M. Dowling: and a son-in-law, Jonathan Fuller
Survivors include husband Wyndel Burnsed of Douglas; daughters and sons-in-law Susan and Scott Bender, Nancy Fuller who was married to the late Jonathan Fuller, and Candace and Bob Billotte all of Douglas; sisters and brothers-in-law Ruby M. and Bobby Blanton, Martha M. Longwith, and Patsy M. Poole; brothers and sisters-in-law Noah and Ann Miller, Vernon and Diane Miller, Allen Miller, Ben Miller and Avin Miller; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends; grandchildren Hannamarie Bender, Olivia B. Bensberg, Zachary Bender, Bay Bender, Erika Diamond, Michael Fuller, Katelyn Fuller, Abigail Waldron, Jon Fuller, Wyatt Billotte and Wesley Billotte.
The funeral was held Dec. 11 at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd Musgrove officiating. An opening prayer was given by the Rev. Tim Mock. The interment followed at Satilla Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers were Jonathan Fuller, Jonathan Sayer, the Rev. Cliff Kirkland, David Smith, the Rev. Byron Griffis, Jason Fuller and Jerry Rowland.
“Pre-Lude” and “Post-Lude” soft Gospel hymns were rendered by CD Music.
