Mr. Charles Clark Sr., 85
Services for Mr. Charles Clark Sr., 85, who died Dec. 9 at Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, were held Dec. 12 at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Lumber City, with Bishop William Hollis officiating.
A native of Lumber City, Mr. Clark was born Jan. 20, 1935, to the late Lamon Clark and Alberta Clark in Lumber City. He attended the Lumber City School System and graduated in 1953. He joined the United States Military and retired after 21 years. After retirement, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of Full Gospel Church of God in Lumber City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mildred Clark; sons Michael Charles Clark and Larry D. Clark; siblings Lavonia Walker, Warnell Clark, and Minnie Mae Campbell; and sister-in-law, Josephine Clark.
Survivors include children Veronica Ndubueze of Savannah, Tony Clark of San Diego, Calif., Gigi Clark of Fitzgerald, Geraldine Clements of Albany, Precious Clark of Lumber City and Charles Clark Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; 14 granddaughters; five grandsons; 21 great grands; siblings Robert Clark, Sammy Clark (Ora), Elizabeth Dugger, Griffin Clark (Tanya), all of Lumber City; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
