Mrs. Joyce Elizabeth Haggard, 85

Mrs. Joyce Elizabeth Haggard, 85, of Lumber City, passed away Oct. 12 at her home.
Mrs. Haggard was born Nov. 4, 1934, in Telfair County. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Ward and Mary Gladys McLean Ward, her husband of 55 years, Earl James Haggard, and a son, Danny Varnadoe. She worked many years in nursing homes and hospitals around Georgia and was also a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Outlaw, Darice Varnadoe and Vecha (Jimmy) White; son, Jonathon (Taylor) Goss, all of Lumber City; six grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 22 p.m., Oct. 14 at Riverside City in Lumber City with the Rev. Johnny Taylor officiating.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Powell, Chris Cooprider, Ralph Brown, Drake Moore, Bradley Ivey and T.C. Roberson.
