Mr. Herman Lee Shuman, 83

Mr. Herman Lee Shuman, 83, of Hazlehurst, died Oct. 2 in Memorial Hospital in Savannah.
Mr. Shuman was born Dec. 5, 1936, in Brantley County. He was retired from Hazlehurst Mills, member of Mason Lodge #283 of Hazlehurst, Mason Lodge #199 of Lumber City, Alee Temple/Scottish Rite, Shriners, and Jolly Friends with Southside Baptist Church. He was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Jurelle Sanders Shuman, brothers, Jimmy Rogers Shuman and William A. Shuman Jr., sisters, Wauline Shuman Jackson and Mary Jeanette Shuman Bush.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lois Golden Shuman of Hazlehurst; brothers, Jackson Monroe (Marie) Shuman of Rincon, Clinton Bell (Brenda) Shuman of Pooler and Donald Wayne (Billie) Shuman of Brunswick; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with Masonic Rites will be held Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. in Hazlehurst City Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Yawn and Duke Campbell officiating.
