Mrs. Sylvia Griffin Selph, 68, of Hazlehurst, died Sept. 27 at Jeff Davis Hospital.
Mrs. Selph was born Oct. 20, 1951, in Jacksonville, Fla., and had made Hazlehurst her home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fulton Griffin and Linnie Mae Simmons Griffin, sister, Mary Christine Tuggle and brother, Ronnie Griffin. She was employed with Jeff Davis County Board of Education for 17 years as a Special Education Bus Driver and was a devoted member of Liberty Community Church.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Jimmy Lee Selph of Hazlehurst; sons, Leander Selph of Helena, Heath Selph (Allison) of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kevin Selph of Hazlehurst; brother Wendell Griffin (Linda) of Soperton; grandchildren, Ashton Mooday, Dylon Selph, Karleigh Selph, Marley Selph, Cole Baucom, Austin Selph, Kam Selph and Trevor Selph; one great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. at Liberty Community Church Cemetery at with the Rev. Milton Thomas officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be any 1969 classmates who wish to attend, all her church family, co-workers and family and friends in attendance.
