Miller Running For School Board

David Miller has announced his candidacy for an At Large seat on the Jeff Davis County School Board.
Miller, the son of the late Robert (Buster) and Muriel Miller, was born and raised in Jeff Davis County. A graduate of Jeff Davis High School, he served three years in the U.S. Army with tours in South Korea, Thailand and California.
After returning home from service, he went into the farm equipment and auction business until 1990, when he entered the ministry and started his formal education at Luther Rice Bible College and Seminary, where he earned a Bachelors of Biblical Studies and Masters of Ministry degrees.
In 2000, Miller and his wife, Gail, started Because He Lives Ministries and The Mission Store in Hazlehurst.
The millers are the parents of Nathan (Lindsay) Miller and Samuel (Brandy) Miller and have six grandchildren.
“In seeking election to the county at large seat on the Jeff Davis County Board of Education, my goal is to build relationships, unity, and accountability between the school system and community,” Miller said.
