Mrs. Christine Woodard Rowell, 76

Mrs. Christine Woodard Rowell, 76, of Gay, formerly of Hazlehurst, died Dec. 14 at Pruitt Health in Greenville.
She was born Aug. 16, 1943, in Fayette to the late Otis Woodard and the late Eunice Chambers Woodard.
She was a homemaker and a member of White Water Creek Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Rowell, daughter, Angela Hall and siblings, Mildred (Boo Boo) Miller, Jack Chambers and Jimmy Luther Chambers
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, William and Cheryl Lynn Moore of Gay; step-daughters, Rena Rowell and Donna Rowell Hughes, both of Hazlehurst; brother, Frank Woodard of Whiteburg; son-in-law, David Michael Hall of Baxley; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Dec. 17 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. David Deen officiating. Interment followed in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Chris McEachin, John Ryan Bieser, Craig Miller, Chris Woodard, Kyle Hughes, and Dale Frederick.
Music was rendered by Sue Sammons, Sue Duckett and Royce and Reba Yawn.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
