Ms. Karen Day, 52

Services for Ms. Karen Day, 52, who died Oct. 31, were held Nov. 9 at Bennett Tabernacle Holiness Church.Pastor Reuben Bennett Jr., Pastor Reginald Cordy and Bishop Williams Hollis officiated with burial in Northview Cemetery.
Ms. Day was the daughter of Leroy Carter Sr. and Mollie Wiley. She was a 1985 graduate of Jeff Davis High School. She worked at Hazlehurst Mills for several year. She was a member of Full Gospel Church of God in Lumber City.
Survivors include her mother, Mollie Wiley; father Leroy Carter Sr.; three loving children, Dwayne Day Jr., Andrea Day and Jamaal Day; grandchildren, Zaniya Brown, Karmyn Day, Keelan Day, and Leighton Day; sister, Joanie Carter; brothers, Leroy Carter Jr. and Maurice Carter; stepfather, Leroy Wiley; stepsister, Joann Aikens (Leon) and five stepbrothers and a host of relatives and friends.
Music was provided by Uvalda Community Choir, Jaron Day, and Walter Miller.
Active pallbearers were Monday Weaver, James Johnson Jr., Patrick Wright, James Leggett, Brooke Jones, and Jimmy Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers were Wilbert Myles, Cruz Rumph, Donnell Health, Larry McNeil James Clemons, and Patrick Jones.
